Definitely burned, especially good for the core. A heavier and lighter set of weights are good to have; I only have a lighter set and wished I had a heavier one too for some of the exercises.

Brilliant overall strength workout. Love this class! Definitely not for you if you've been out of training for a while - do Joanne's 30 min bodysculpt if that's the case - this one is a challenge! Fab!

Wow, what a great class. I tried this early on in my workouts and found it totally intense. Several months in and much much stronger, it's *still* really really intense. Every major muscle group is worked, often to fatigue. Great strengthening! And I'd agree with the reviewer who said you could rate this for cardio too. My heart rate definitely shot up!

40 minutes went by very fast (even though I as interupted twice)! I agree with everybody, you DO sweat alot, but not once did I find myself gasping for air. Good JUST muscle building routine. I'm going to try it with heavier weights next time.

Way to go Shirley! I finally found something else I can do and feel challenged with when doing my strength training at home. This will combine great with the medicine ball workout for me. Shirley was very informative as to posture and everything. Great!

Word of warning if you're deconditioned. My thighs were painful for 3 days after this workout and I had to stop exercising for one week. Body sculpt 1 is less strenuous if you're not very fit
